As a matter of fact, the Spanish National Heritage Council has agreed to nominate “Rioja and Rioja Alavesa wine Cultural Landscape” to the UNESCO World Heritage List. This application was presented in February 2014 to UNESCO and the final decision of the international body will be known in 2015.
